The weekends this season have been really lovely. A drive along Poplar Grove Road was a nice shortcut around some traffic, and the scenery was pretty, too!

The ASU Homecoming game started at 3:30 today. Despite the crowds, we decided to get out in the beautiful fall weather. Shull's Mill Road still remains one of my favorite fall drives, so we took it as part of the scenic route to our destination. We stopped in at Crestwood so I could snap a picture from their lot.

The hills around Tweetsie Railroad are still looking colorful. The colors in the area are deeper, showing more dark gold and burgundy. This scene is a good example.

I thought it would be nice to finish up the daily photos for this season with some images from downtown Blowing Rock. Today's is the Community Library. The trees in front of the building are just beginning to change, and still have the bright colors of early fall. They really caught my eye on the way in to work this morning.

A stroll in Memorial Park was a nice treat this afternoon. Most of the trees in the park are bare, but this one is still hanging on to some brilliant foliage!
