    6-10pm, Featuring The Tams and The Embers. Tickets available from Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.   $28 adults for advance tickets, $35 at the gate.

  • Artist in Residence at Edgewood Cottage: Bob Stevens, colored pencil artist. Meet the artist and see process and works. Free.

 
  • Artfull Palette at Green Park Inn, Annual fundraiser for Watauga Arts Council. Wonderful entertainment, a marvelous silent auction, delicious hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and dancing into the night to music by Swing Set - tunes from the era of the Rat Pack 'til now. And dress "Artfully" - that means whatever you interpret that to be!  6:30pm - until.  Tickets available at through the Watauga Arts Council and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce beginning August 26th.

  • Artist E. Jean Pollock at Alta Vista Gallery  Free, 1-5pm  - The show’s theme is “Favorite Places.”  Pollock will be at the gallery to show 15 new oils of places that are favorites of many of us, such as:  Blue Ridge Mountains, Julian Price Park, Bass Lake, farms, and flower gardens.
