"Seasons for 200" Blue Ridge Parkway Jeopardy:
The Blue Ridge Parkway gives way to beautiful landscapes, flora, and fauna. But just how much do you know about the park? You’ll get a chance to test your knowledge during this 45 minute program designed for the whole family.

Southern Storytelling with Doyle Pace
The Appalachian Mountains are alive with a rich history and culture that goes back for centuries. Certainly, these mountains have seen both good and bad times. Join an experienced storyteller Doyle Pace, to hear exciting and sometimes daunting local legends.

The Fourth Annual Festival of Native American Music
Join the ranger around the campfire for an enthralling evening of flute playing and storytelling by the Carolina Flute Circle with special guest, flute maker Lee Entrekin.

"The flute is the essence of the wind and gives voice to the beauty of the mountains as it rustles the leaves and grasses." Native American Proverb

Recurring Programs and events:

Flat Top Manor Upstairs Tours: Begin June 5th and end October 17th. Join a ranger for a tour of the second floor of the beautiful, former home of Moses and Bertha Cone (MP 294). Tours are held on Saturdays and Sundays and last about 30 minutes. Reservations are required. Tour Times: Saturday and Sunday @ 10 am, 11 am, 2 pm, 3pm, and 4pm. For Reservations: Please call (828) 295-3782 or sign up at the information desk at the Moses Cone Manor House. Reservations accepted beginning at 9 am for the weekend of the requested tour only.

Evening Campfire Programs: Friday and Saturday night programs are held throughout the summer and fall at the Price Park Amphitheater (MP 297).

Wildflower Walks: Join a ranger every Wednesday of the spring and summer to discover what beautiful wildflowers are blooming along Blue Ridge Parkway trails. Check local newspapers for information on the time and location of the hike or call (828) 295-6308.

Cone Cemetery Hike: Join the rangers for a 2 mile hike to Moses and Bertha Cone's final resting place (MP 294). Learn more about the Cone family... both their good and bad times. Perhaps you'll begin to understand why there are so many strange stories of "hauntings" and unexplained happenings there. This hike will be held the last Saturday of the month in June-October.

Blue Ridge Kids Programs: Held Saturday and Sunday mornings. Don't miss the opportunity to have summer fun with your kids!
