FallFablesSpecial fall and Halloween-themed activities are planned at Blowing Rock Art & History Museum to celebrate autumn!

Down in the Willow Garden: Scary Appalachian stories and Ballads for Halloween will be on Thursday, October 13. Featuring the eerily talented team of ballad singers and storytellers Saro Lynch-Thomason and Bobby McMillon, the program is sure to be a thrilling performance. This event is for adults and mature teens. Just $10. 7-8:30pm.

Check out the Movie at the Museum on October 25, Night of the Hunter (1955), for some spooky entertainment. Based on the Southern Gothic novel by Davis Grubb, Night of the Hunter features truly creepy cinematography and a frightening performance by Robert Mitchum. $7, 6-8pm.

A special “Creepy Crafts and Spooky Stories” session coincides with the Town’s Halloween Festival on October 29.  Great for kids! Costumes encouraged. Free. 12-2pm.
