The day started out incredibly foggy. Along the Parkway, if you were adventurous enough to brave it, the yellow and orange foliage turned the fog to warm colors in close areas. It’s quite beautiful to drive through, but it doesn’t offer much in the way of views. Fortunately, the fog did clear later in the day. This is from Grandview Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, close to Deep Gap.
