BLOWING ROCK HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Blowing Rock Historical Society (BRHS) is a non-profit community service organization. Our number one goal is to bring our rich and colorful history to life for our community and for our visitors. We present our history in a way that is fun and engaging. Examples include our 1888 Museum in Memorial Park, dedicated to our history of tourism, and the Blowing Rock History Walk, twenty-one engaging history stations on Laurel Lane and around Broyhill Lake. Edgewood Cottage, on Main Street and next door to BRAHM is the location for the popular summer Artists in Residence program, and it serves as a museum the remainder of the year. ROTARY CLUB OF BLOWING ROCK

Established in 1946, we provide an opportunity for friendship, fellowship and service to the community, the local area, and the world. The Rotary Club of Blowing Rock meets most Mondays at noon for lunch at the Meadowbrook Inn. Visitors and fellow Rotarians welcome.

BACK 2 SCHOOL FESTIVAL

Created to lift the heavy financial burden that back-to-school shopping creates for local families. When families are unable to afford supplies the responsibility often falls on faculty and staff and can leave the child feeling insecure or inadequate.

Founded in 1985 to raise funds exclusively for the Blowing Rock Community. The earnings from Community Service Day Golf and Tennis Tournaments and our popular Groovy Nights Show are used to award Grants to the town and scholarships to local college students.
